**WORLD SHATTERING SPEED DEMON STRIKES AGAIN!**
In a jaw-dropping, heart-stopping, and downright unbelievable display of daredevilry, Swedish stunt rider, Lars “The Wheelie Wizard” Wikstrom, has shattered the Guinness World Record for fastest wheelie on a motorcycle while leaning on his handlebars.
According to eyewitnesses, Wikstrom, 32, reached a mind-boggling speed of 125.93 miles per hour while defying gravity and logic by balancing on his rear wheel, all while casually resting his elbows on the handlebars as if he were on a Sunday afternoon stroll.
“I was just cruising along, enjoying the view, and then suddenly I was doing 125 miles per hour and my hair was blowing back like a Viking’s in a hurricane,” said Wikstrom in a post-record interview. “I mean, it’s not like I’ve done this before or anything… oh wait, I have. Many times. And I’ll probably do it again. And again. And maybe even faster next time.”
Witnesses described the scene as “absolute pandemonium” as Wikstrom zoomed past, his motorcycle roaring like a beast, his tires squealing in protest, and his facial expression a picture of serene calm.
“I was literally shaking in my boots,” said spectator, Anna Jensen. “I mean, I’ve seen some crazy things in my life, but this was on a whole other level. I think I might have lost a few years off my life just watching him.”
The previous record holder, American stunt rider, Bobby “The Wheelie King” Jenkins, was on hand to congratulate Wikstrom on his achievement. “I’ve been doing this for years, but I’ve got to admit, that guy’s a madman,” said Jenkins. “I mean, 125 miles per hour on one wheel? That’s just plain nuts. I’m just glad I wasn’t the one trying to do it.”
Wikstrom’s record-breaking ride was witnessed by a team of officials from Guinness World Records, who verified the speed using state-of-the-art radar guns and other scientific wizardry.
When asked what inspired him to attempt the record, Wikstrom simply shrugged and said, “I just really, really, REALLY love going fast. And doing wheelies. And leaning on my handlebars. And, you know, being awesome.”
The new record has sent shockwaves throughout the stunt riding community, with many of Wikstrom’s peers already planning their own attempts to take him down.
But for now, Wikstrom basks in the glory of his achievement, his name etched forever in the annals of stunt riding history.
**UPDATE:** Wikstrom has announced plans to attempt an even more death-defying stunt next week, involving a 150-foot jump over a row of flaming buses while reciting the entire script of “Hamlet” backwards. Stay tuned… or not. Your call.
