**BREAKING: FLORIDA MAN’S POOL PARTY CRASHER CAUGHT IN THE ACT**
In a bizarre incident that has left residents of suburban Orlando scratching their heads, a Florida man woke up to find an uninvited guest lounging in his backyard pool. But this wasn’t just any guest – it was a 12-foot-long alligator, complete with a pair of oversized sunglasses and a pool float.
According to 32-year-old homeowner, Dave Johnson, he stumbled out of his back door at 7am to start his day, only to be greeted by the scaly interloper soaking up the sun.
“I was like, ‘What in the world…?’ I mean, I’ve heard of alligators getting into pools before, but this guy was like he owned the place,” Johnson said, still shaking his head in amazement. “He was just chillin’, sippin’ on some imaginary fruity drink, and enjoying the sunshine. I half expected him to ask me to pass the sunscreen.”
The alligator, who reportedly introduced himself as “Gator” and claimed to be from “the bayou,” seemed completely at ease in Johnson’s pool. Witnesses described the scene as “surreal,” with Gator lazily paddling around the pool, sending water splashing everywhere.
“I was a little worried at first, but then I saw he was just trying to cool off,” Johnson said. “I mean, who doesn’t love a good pool day, right? I even considered inviting him over for a BBQ, but I figured that might be a bit too much.”
As authorities were called to the scene, Gator apparently grew tired of the commotion and decided to take a leisurely stroll around the yard, inspecting Johnson’s garden gnomes and outdoor decorations.
“It was like he was house-sitting or something,” Johnson chuckled. “I’m just glad he didn’t try to raid my fridge. I mean, I’ve heard alligators love a good snack.”
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was eventually called to safely escort Gator back into the wild. As they arrived, they found Johnson and Gator having a friendly chat about the best spots to catch a fish.
When asked for comment, a spokesperson for FWC simply shrugged and said, “Well, at least he was respectful of the homeowner’s property. And who knows, maybe he even left a positive Yelp review.”
As for Johnson, he’s just happy to have had such an…enlightening experience. “I mean, who needs a pool party when you’ve got a gator crashing the scene?” he laughed. “I’m just glad I didn’t have to share my piña colada.”
