**BREAKING: Deer-in-Peril Drama Unfolds on Frozen Lake in Wisconsin**

In a daring display of aerial heroics, the Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office deployed a high-tech drone to rescue not one, not two, but THREE deer who found themselves in a sticky situation on a partially frozen lake in rural Wisconsin.

According to eyewitnesses, the drama unfolded when a group of deer, apparently trying to recreate the movie “The Revenant” in real life, decided to take a leisurely stroll across Lake Wobbly-ice, only to discover that the ice wasn’t quite as sturdy as they had hoped.

“Ice, ice, baby… NOT!” exclaimed Sheriff Bob Smith, who was called to the scene. “These deer were in a real bind – or should I say, a real ‘frozen’ bind!”

As the deer struggled to stay afloat in the icy waters, the Sheriff’s Office sprang into action, dispatching their trusty drone, “Drone-y McDroneface,” to the scene.

With its high-definition camera and nimble rotors, Drone-y McDroneface carefully surveyed the situation and located the three distressed deer, who were clinging to a small patch of ice in the middle of the lake.

Without hesitation, the drone began to drop specialized deer rescue baskets (which looked suspiciously like giant, waterproof toilet plungers) to the stranded animals.

“It was like a scene from ‘The Great Outdoors’ up in here!” said Deputy Dave Johnson, who was part of the rescue team. “The deer were like, ‘Help! We’re going to freeze to death!’ And we were all, ‘Don’t worry, we’ve got this… and also some really cool drone technology!'”

Miraculously, all three deer were safely plucked from the icy waters and deposited onto dry land, where they were treated to warm blankets, hot cocoa, and a stern lecture on the importance of checking ice conditions before taking a stroll.

The Sheriff’s Office has announced plans to award Drone-y McDroneface a special commendation for its bravery and quick thinking in the face of frozen fury.

As for the deer, they’re just happy to be alive – and to have learned a valuable lesson about the perils of underestimating the power of Wisconsin’s winter weather.
