**TULSA, OKLAHOMA** – In a bizarre incident that has left authorities and residents alike in stitches, a pig led Oklahoma deputies on a high-speed chase through a rural area, culminating in a surprising display of aggression when it bit one of the officers.

The unusual pursuit unfolded on Wednesday afternoon in the vicinity of Highway 66, where deputies from the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office were called to investigate reports of a loose pig. What started as a routine response quickly escalated into a chaotic scene as the pig, described as a large adult hog, began to evade capture.

According to details from the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office, the pig, seemingly aware of the commotion it was causing, took off running at high speed, with deputies in hot pursuit. The chase covered several miles of rural terrain, with the pig displaying remarkable agility and speed.

“It was like something out of a movie,” said Deputy James Johnson, who was part of the pursuit team. “The pig was fast, and it was clear it didn’t want to be caught.”

The situation took a surprising turn when one of the deputies, attempting to apprehend the pig, was bitten on the hand. The officer, whose name has not been released, was treated for minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

“We’ve had our fair share of unusual calls, but this one was certainly a first,” said Sheriff Jim Anderson. “Our deputies are trained to handle all sorts of situations, but I think it’s safe to say that no one expected to be bitten by a pig during a traffic stop…or in this case, a hoof stop.”

The pig, whose current whereabouts are unknown, has become a local celebrity of sorts, with many residents expressing amusement and surprise at the incident.

“I’ve lived in these parts all my life, and I’ve never seen anything like it,” said local resident Jane Doe. “I guess you could say that pig had a bit of a wild streak.”

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office has announced plans to increase efforts to safely capture and relocate the pig, while also reminding residents of the importance of securing their pets and livestock to prevent similar incidents in the future.

As for the deputy who was bitten, he’s taking it all in stride. “Well, it’s definitely a story for the grandkids,” he said with a chuckle. “And a good reminder to always be on the lookout for wildlife…or in this case, a rogue pig.”
