**9-Foot Snake Finds New Home After Iowa Adventure**
A massive 9-foot snake was recently discovered wandering loose in Iowa, sending shockwaves through the community. The serpent, identified as a non-venomous Burmese python, has since been relocated to a new home in Illinois.
According to eyewitnesses, the snake was spotted slithering through the streets of Pella, Iowa, causing concern among residents. Local animal control officials were quickly called to the scene, and a team of experts was dispatched to safely capture the reptile.
“We received a call from a concerned citizen who reported seeing a large snake in their yard,” said Pella Animal Control Officer, Jane Smith. “We responded quickly and were able to safely capture the snake and transport it to a secure facility for identification and care.”

The Burmese python is now residing at the Reptile Research and Conservation Center in Illinois, where it will be cared for by experienced staff. The center provides a safe and naturalistic environment for the snake, complete with a large enclosure and a diet of frozen-thawed prey.
While the snake’s adventure in Iowa was certainly unexpected, it highlights the importance of responsible pet ownership and the need for proper care and housing of exotic animals.
