In a bizarre display of skill and creativity, 32-year-old Idaho resident, Ryan Jenkins, has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the most table tennis balls caught with the head while covered in shaving cream.

On Saturday, Jenkins, a self-proclaimed “extreme sports enthusiast,” took to his backyard to attempt the unusual feat. With a can of shaving cream in hand, he covered his head in a generous amount of the slippery substance.

Next, Jenkins’ friend, who was acting as a “ball boy,” began bouncing table tennis balls off a nearby wall. Jenkins, with his shaving cream-lathered head, was tasked with catching as many balls as possible within a set time frame.

As the balls rebounded off the wall, Jenkins expertly positioned himself to catch them using only his head. The shaving cream, which provided an extra layer of challenge, made it difficult for the balls to stick to his skin.

According to eyewitnesses, Jenkins’ technique was surprisingly effective, and he managed to catch an impressive 17 balls within the allotted 30 seconds.

Guinness World Records officials were on hand to verify the attempt, and after careful review, Jenkins was officially declared the new record holder.

“I’ve always been fascinated by unusual records, and I thought, ‘Why not try something crazy?'” Jenkins said in an interview. “The shaving cream added an extra level of difficulty, but I was determined to make it work.”

The previous record holder, a British man, had caught 12 balls using the same method. Jenkins’ achievement surpasses that record by a significant margin.

When asked about his training regimen, Jenkins chuckled, “Well, I’ve always been a bit of a weirdo, and I’ve spent countless hours practicing my head-catching skills. I guess you could say it’s a hobby.”

Jenkins’ new record is set to be featured in an upcoming edition of the Guinness World Records book.

In the meantime, the Idaho resident is basking in the glory of his newfound fame. “I’m thrilled to have set a new record,” he said. “Who knows? Maybe I’ll inspire others to try something similarly ridiculous.”
