Nicosia, Cyprus – In a dazzling display of skill and balance, a talented dancer from Cyprus may have broken a Guinness World Record by balancing 468 wine glasses on his head while dancing.

The impressive feat was achieved by 32-year-old Andreas Nicolaou, a professional dancer and choreographer from Nicosia, Cyprus. Nicolaou, who has been training for months to perfect his technique, performed the record-breaking stunt at a local event on Saturday evening.

Witnesses described the scene as “breathtaking” as Nicolaou, dressed in a traditional Cypriot costume, began to dance to the rhythm of traditional folk music while carefully balancing the stacked wine glasses on his head.

“It was like magic,” said Maria Georgiou, a spectator who witnessed the record-breaking attempt. “I couldn’t believe my eyes. He was dancing and balancing the glasses with such ease and precision. I was on the edge of my seat, worried that the glasses would fall, but he kept going like a pro.”

According to Guinness World Records, the previous record for the most wine glasses balanced on the head was 356, set by a performer in 2018. Nicolaou’s achievement of balancing 468 wine glasses has now been submitted to Guinness World Records for verification.

When asked about his preparation and technique, Nicolaou said, “It took months of practice and patience to master the art of balancing wine glasses on my head while dancing. I worked with a team of experts to design a special harness to support the weight of the glasses, and I trained extensively to develop the necessary balance and coordination.”

The event was attended by over 500 people, who cheered and applauded as Nicolaou successfully completed the record-breaking stunt.

“I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude,” Nicolaou said in a statement. “This achievement is not just about me; it’s about pushing the limits of human potential and inspiring others to pursue their passions.”

If verified, Nicolaou’s record-breaking feat will be officially recognized by Guinness World Records, cementing his place in the history books.

**UPDATE:** Guinness World Records officials have announced that they will review Nicolaou’s record attempt and confirm the results in the coming weeks. If verified, Nicolaou will be awarded the Guinness World Record for the most wine glasses balanced on the head while dancing.
