Idahoans set out to achieve greatness yesterday, and boy did they succeed! After months of rigorous training and preparation, a pair of men from the Gem State passed a giant inflatable ball back and forth for an hour and eight minutes, ultimately making 7,827 passes and officially claiming a Guinness World Records title in the process.
The feat was nothing short of epic, as the two men demonstrated incredible skill and teamwork while gently tossing the ball to one another. Witnesses describe the event as a heart-pumping, nail-biting affair, with onlookers cheering wildly every time the ball made it across the line.
When asked about the training process, one of the participants bragged that they spent “hours upon hours” practicing in their local park, adding that they “definitely know how to toss a ball around.” We’re sure their wives and children are beyond proud.
Of course, we can’t overlook the significance of this achievement. After all, the previous record had been set in 2014 with 7,727 passes, making this year’s result a historic triumph for the state of Idaho and the United States as a whole. Sarcasm aside, it’s clear that this is clearly a life-altering accomplishment for everyone involved.
We reached out to a spokesperson from the Guinness World Records for comment, who stated that they were “thrilled” to see such a strong display of athleticism and team spirit, particularly in these trying times. Because really, what could be more inspiring than passing a beach ball back and forth for just over an hour?
The Idaho men aren’t done yet either, as they’ve already set their sights on breaking more records in the near future. When questioned about their next challenge, one of the participants cryptically teased that they were thinking of “something even more difficult, like maybe a group game of hopscotch.”
We can hardly wait to see what they’ll achieve next, but for now, let’s all take a moment to bask in the glory of their achievement. After all, anything is possible if you put your heart to it and pass a giant beach ball back and forth for an hour straight. Bravo, Idaho. Bravo.
