Astonishing Discovery: Another Boring Monolith Appeared out of Nowhere!

In what seems like an attempt to channel last year’s trend of enigmatic monoliths, a random silver structure has shown up on a hillside in Wales. Hallelujah, it’s like déjà vu all over again!

The monolith, which stands about 10 feet tall, appeared on top of a mountain in the Welsh countryside. Its appearance has caused something of an uproar among local residents, who have been struggling to snap pictures of the mysterious object on their, dare we say, obsolete flip phones.

While the latest addition to the monolith clan is impressive enough, the first thought that came to mind was, hasn’t the world moved on from monolith-mania? Who needs a giant shiny statue in the middle of nowhere when we have much more important things to worry about, like survival in a pandemic, global warming, and environmental issues?

The internet is buzzing with theories surrounding the source of these monoliths. Did aliens make them? Is it some weird art project? Is it a secret government experiment? Or is it just a group of people who want their 15 minutes of fame via social media?

People dismiss the possibility that the monolith is just another such art exhibit by some pretentious artist. We all know how the lofty artistic types turn their noses up at conventional art forms, and instead, enjoy creating oversized metal objects that resemble a discarded tube of toothpaste.

The monolith craze started in Utah last December, where a 12-foot monolith was discovered in a remote area. This caused a worldwide obsession as people raced to be the first to leave a “me too” message on social media. It wasn’t long before a flurry of copycats popped up in different places around the world, including Romania, Germany, and California.

It’s unclear what purpose, if any, the monolith serves. Maybe it’s a form of modern art that has yet to be appreciated by the masses. More likely, it’s just another friggin’ metal column that someone decided to plant in the middle of nowhere to get some attention.

One thing is for sure – the pandemic has provided people with way too much time on their hands to create pointless and annoying trends that serve no real purpose. Maybe it’s time to think about something more meaningful to do with our time, like volunteer in our community or learn a new skill.

So, there you have it folks: another monolith has been found, and it’s as exciting as running out of toilet paper. I’m sure we can all sleep peacefully tonight knowing that we have yet another tall, shining metal object to gaze at. Who knows, maybe next time it will be a monolith that dispenses hand sanitizer.
