Beaver Arrested for Causing Traffic Jam, Second Suspect Still on the Loose
Authorities in the Washington area have reported a new case of criminal activity on the streets. It seems that two beavers are responsible for disrupting traffic flow in a well-to-do neighborhood. One of the culprits has been apprehended and is now under “protective custody,” but the second suspect is still at large.
The incident happened on two separate occasions; the first one occurred early in the morning when the beaver blocked an entire lane on a busy street causing a massive traffic jam. Witnesses say the little guy was just sitting in the middle of the road, looking around as if admiring his handiwork.
One commuter expressed frustration, saying “I was just trying to get to an important meeting, and then this beaver has to ruin everything. I mean, what’s his motive? Does he have an agenda?”
Apparently, the furry rodent was not satisfied with just one traffic stunt as he struck again later that day. This time, he was joined by his accomplice, who managed to slip away unnoticed. The two beavers erected a makeshift dam causing a small lake to form, and the entire street was submerged. Emergency services were called to the scene to pump out the water and clear the debris.
It wasn’t until later in the day that a police officer patrolling the area sighted the first perpetrator and was able to orchestrate his capture. The officer left the beaver in protective custody, where he will be questioned and rehabilitated until he is ready to be released back into the wild.
The second criminal, however, is still at large, and authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant. It’s believed that this suspect is the mastermind behind the traffic disruptions and is highly likely to continue his criminal activity if not caught.
An anonymous source close to the investigation revealed, “We have reason to believe the second suspect is a repeat offender. He’s been spotted in the area before pulling the same stunt, and we are not taking this lightly.”
The general public is advised to take precautionary measures when driving through the area. Local authorities recommend looking out for any unnaturally constructed dams and being extra careful around bodies of water.
The government has not yet released any official statement on the matter, but some politicians have expressed outrage. One senator tweeted, “The streets of Washington should be clean and safe for our citizens, not treated as playgrounds for wild animals. I demand action from our law enforcement agencies!”
The incident has sparked debates on social media, with many people ridiculing the beavers. Some have even created memes, poking fun at the “delinquent rodents.”
This reporter reached out to the captured beaver for a comment, but he remained tight-lipped, probably advised by his legal counsel. Hopefully, the authorities will soon catch the second suspect and bring him to justice, so that the streets of Washington are safe again.
