Zookeeper Dresses as White Tiger for Escape Drill, Totally Not Trying to Scare the Living Daylights Out of Colleagues
In a move that definitely wasn’t calculated to cause utter chaos and terror amongst her colleagues, zookeeper Samantha Petersen donned a white tiger costume for an escape drill at the local zoo.
Some might call Samantha an absolute genius for taking on the role of a terrifying apex predator for the drill. In fact, her co-workers were so convincingly frightened that they may have, for a moment, genuinely thought they were about to be mauled by a creature with jaws that could crush their skulls like eggshells.
Of course, it is hard to tell what Samantha’s true intentions were in this scenario. Some may think that she was practicing her Halloween costume in advance, while others suspect that she was trying to win the “Most Creative and Traumatizing Exit Drill” award at the next employee party.
Regardless, there’s no denying the effectiveness of the drill. One worker, who preferred to remain anonymous, described the incident as “terrifying”. “I felt like I was in a bad horror movie. I mean, when Samantha suddenly appeared out of nowhere, I nearly wet my pants,” she said.
Another colleague added, “It was like the real thing. The way she moved… it was just like a tiger. I had to remind myself that it was only a drill.”
Some employees, however, seemed to take the whole thing in stride. “I thought it was hilarious when Samantha jumped out at us,” said one worker, grinning ear to ear. “I mean, who else gets to say that they were almost attacked by a tiger at work?”
While zoo officials have yet to comment on the incident, it can be assumed that they were both impressed and perhaps a little frightened by Samantha’s initiative. In fact, some rumors suggest that the zoo may be considering hiring her in a full-time capacity as the resident “Scare Specialist” and consult her when devising future escape plans.
But what about the visitors, you may ask? Surely they weren’t subjected to this terrifying spectacle? Well, lucky for them, the drill took place after the zoo had closed for the day. Though one can only imagine the kind of Yelp review they might’ve received if it had happened during operating hours.
In any case, it’s important to remember that this was a drill and that everyone involved is safe and sound. But let’s not forget the important lessons that have been learned here. Specifically, that Samantha is a force to be reckoned with, and that white tigers are really, really scary.
