Animal Rescuers Mistake Realistic Statue for Actual Dog
In a scene straight out of a comedy sketch, animal rescuers were sent on a wild goose chase to save a dog stuck in a ditch in an English park – only to realize after reaching the spot that it was a realistic statue of a canine that had fooled the reporter.
The report of a desperate dog stuck in a muddy ditch sent animal lovers into a frenzy, as a team of rescuers rushed to the park to save the poor creature before it was too late. They could have put somebody’s life at risk with their little joke.”
