The headline breaking news today is that a Maryland couple have achieved the incredible feat of attending a record-breaking 135 concerts in just one year. Yes, folks, you heard that right! Apparently, they have been living and breathing rock music for the last 365 days and have not stopped until they reached this jaw-dropping milestone.

We have to say, we’re not sure what’s more impressive- their endurance or their easy access to an unlimited amount of earplugs. Honestly, who has that much time, energy, and disposable income on their hands? It’s hard enough to catch up on our favorite Netflix shows, let alone attending that many concerts in a year. Clearly, these two have set a new standard for music fans everywhere.

We’ve got to hand it to them though, it does take a certain level of commitment and perhaps an unhealthy obsession with music to achieve what they have. We’re truly amazed that they still have functioning eardrums after all this time. But, when you think about it, what else could anyone do in Maryland? It’s not like there’s much else to do in the state anyway, right?

Now, some might say that the couple has exceeded the limit of concert attendance. But let’s face it, who are we to judge? They’re not hurting anyone, and it’s their money and their time, so if they want to throw it all away on something as trivial as attending concerts, then we say go for it! It’s not like there are more important things in the world that require their attention.

In fact, we might even suggest that they start a new trend, kind of like a concert marathon. They could set up a tent at their favorite venue and camp out there for a few weeks. Or maybe they could hire someone to come along with them to hold their drinks (or spew them out after the 20th concert in a row without a break). Who needs sleep or basic human necessities anyway, right?

On a more serious note, we do wonder when they found time to attend to important life events like work, family, or anything that doesn’t involve live music. But hey, we’re sure they have their priorities straight. After all, nothing says “I love you” like ditching your spouse or significant other to attend a show.

All in all, we congratulate the couple on their impressive achievement. They should be proud of themselves for living the dream that most music fans can only aspire to. So, we raise our imaginary lighters in their honor and play them one final tune – We hope they took enough time to pause between concerts and remembered to hydrate.
