Couple Ties The Knot In Unique ‘Disco Bathroom’ Setting At Gas Station In Kentucky
In a world of cookie-cutter wedding venues, one couple decided to break the mold and tie the knot in a truly unique location: the disco bathroom of a gas station in Kentucky. The happy couple, John and Jane Smith, exchanged vows surrounded by neon lights, cheesy disco music and the scent of gasoline.
The couple apparently fell in love with the “unique charm” of the gas station bathroom and felt it was the perfect place to start their new life together. According to Mr. Smith, “We wanted our wedding to be like nothing else out there. We didn’t want the same boring church wedding that everyone else has. And when we saw the disco bathroom, we knew it was the perfect spot for us.”
The gas station restroom, which is usually reserved for customers looking to relieve themselves, was given a makeover by the couple’s wedding planner. They added colorful streamers, disco balls, and a makeshift altar for the couple to stand at while they said their vows. The bathroom’s usual occupants were asked to kindly use the facilities next door during the ceremony.
The ceremony began with the strains of “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees, and the couple made their way down the aisle, which was actually just a clear space in the middle of the bathroom floor. The bride wore a traditional white gown, while the groom opted for a more casual look, sporting a gas station uniform complete with name badge.
To ensure the ceremony was legal, a justice of the peace was called in to perform the ceremony. During the exchange of vows, the couple promised to love each other “in sickness and in health, in gasoline fumes and in neon lights.”
The reception was held in the convenience store portion of the gas station, where guests dined on hot dogs and enjoyed a toast with bottles of Mountain Dew. Mr. and Mrs. Smith cut their wedding cake, which was made to look like a giant Snickers bar.
While some may balk at the idea of getting married in a gas station restroom, the couple and their guests were thrilled with the unique setting. According to one guest, “This was one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been to. Who knew a gas station could be so romantic?”
For those looking for a unique and unforgettable wedding experience, the disco bathroom at the Kentucky gas station might just be the perfect fit. Who needs diamond-encrusted wedding bands and Michelin-starred catering when you can exchange vows in front of a Slim Jim display? Truly, this is the peak of romance.
