In what might be seen as a shocking twist of fate, a cheeky lizard has made a Kruger National Park campsite its new abode. The reptile, who reportedly goes by the name “Larry the Lizard”, has made quite an impression on the unsuspecting campers who were just looking for a peaceful weekend getaway.

Sources close to the matter reveal that Larry had been on the hunt for a new place to live for quite some time, and upon coming across the Kruger National Park campsite, he knew it was the perfect spot for him to make a home. The tent belonging to a group of campers seemed like the ideal spot, given the ample space and cozy ambiance.

According to eyewitness accounts, it was a pretty unconventional sight to see Larry the Lizard perched atop the tent. Many of the campers initially mistook him for a decorative item and even posed for photographs next to him. It wasn’t until one of the campers spotted him scurrying across the tent that they realized they had a new roommate.

Despite the initial shock, many of the campers have grown fond of Larry and have taken to leaving leftover crumbs out for him to snack on. In fact, some have even gone as far as naming him their official campsite mascot.

Larry the Lizard, however, seems to be taking his newfound stardom in stride and has become quite the local celebrity. Tourists from other campsites have been heard talking about taking a trip just to see the infamous Larry.

Park rangers, on the other hand, are a bit more wary of the situation and have taken to monitoring Larry’s movements closely. Given his unpredictable nature, there’s a sense of unease amongst the rangers that he might cause some sort of mayhem down the line.

When reached for comment, a spokesperson for the Kruger National Park campsite said, “While it’s not uncommon for animals to roam near our campgrounds, having such a peculiar guest like Larry certainly caught us by surprise. Nonetheless, we’re happy to see our visitors bonding with the local wildlife and would like to remind everyone to maintain a safe distance from the animals.”

As for Larry himself, he seems to be content with his new digs and has no plans of leaving anytime soon. Friends close to Larry report that he’s been busy getting to know the other wildlife in the campsite, including a family of monkeys that have been eyeing his tent with envy.

Overall, it seems that Larry the Lizard has found his calling as the newest member of the Kruger National Park family. While some may view his arrival as a nuisance, others have embraced him with open arms. Who knows, maybe more animals will follow in his footsteps and make the campsite their new home. Only time will tell.
