It’s a hot day in Brazil and what better way to cool down than building a Popsicle stick structure? That’s exactly what a group of YouTubers did and they even made history by building the world’s tallest one!

In case you were wondering, the structure is over 40 feet tall and made out of over a million Popsicle sticks. Because who needs trees when you have Popsicle sticks, right?

We spoke to the leader of the group, who goes by the name of “Popsicle Pete”. He told us that the idea came to him in a dream (or a sugar-induced hallucination). He gathered his crew of fellow stick enthusiasts and got to work.

The build took over a year to complete, with long hours spent in the sun gluing and stacking sticks. And what did they get out of it? Well, a lot of money from sponsors who just couldn’t resist the allure of a giant stick structure.

But why stop at making history? The group plans on adding a few more feet to the structure to make sure it truly has got all the bragging rights.

As for the Popsicle manufacturers, they couldn’t be happier. Finally, someone is giving their product the recognition it deserves. A spokesperson for the company even said, “We’re thrilled to see our Popsicle sticks being used for something other than just annoying parents by littering the floor.”

But not everyone is impressed. Environmentalists are calling the structure a waste of wood and not an environmentally-friendly way to cool down. Popsicle Pete, however, sees it differently. “We’re making history here! Who cares about the environment when you could have your name in the record books?”

The structure has become quite the tourist attraction, with thousands of people lining up in the hopes of catching a glimpse of it before it inevitably collapses. After all, it’s made out of Popsicle sticks, not steel beams.

Some locals are even calling it the eighth wonder of the world, although we’re pretty sure that title has already been claimed by the Great Wall of China.

Overall, we can safely say that this Popsicle stick structure has brought a lot of joy, money, and controversy to Brazil. Who knew that a childhood pastime could have such an impact? We can only wait and see what other ridiculous things people will build in the future. Ice cream sandwich skyscraper, anyone?
