Tiny Dog Causes New York Traffic Nightmares
New York City – Today, hundreds of motorists suffered from a mini heart attack when they came across a Chihuahua running lose on a busy highway. The small dog caused a major traffic jam, was chased by drivers but still managed to evade capture before disappearing.
It’s unclear how the small dog managed to escape from his owner’s yard, but sources tell us that he might have been planning this all along. We have reached out to the dog for his comments, but he’s been unresponsive to our calls. His owner, on the other hand, was full of praise for her pup.
“My little baby, Benny, is so intelligent. He knew where he wanted to go, and he went for it,” said proud dog-mom, Peggy Johnson. “And, what a great adventure he went on!” Johnson went on to say that she was grateful to the drivers who chased Benny as they made him the talk of the town.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning during rush hour on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. Benny caused a significant disturbance in the flow of traffic causing many drivers to be late for work. These poor drivers had to endure the horror of being late, something that must have been deeply distressing.
One driver, Mr. John Smith, was angry and bemused by the disruption Benny caused. “I mean, come on, he’s a tiny Chihuahua. How could he stop a busy highway? Everyone knows that Chihuahuas are the gentlest creatures on the planet.”
While Benny is still at large, authorities believe that he is not a danger to himself or anyone else. New York Police Department (NYPD) has urged drivers to slow down and be vigilant when driving on major highways. Should they come across the dog, they have been advised to remain in their vehicles and not to approach Benny. According to NYPD, Benny bites and has a mean bark.
Meanwhile, Benny the Chihuahua has become an internet sensation and has gained a huge following on Instagram. His fans have praised him for being an inspiration in the face of adversity. Some admirers have even called him the next Lassie.
The incident has also sparked a debate about the effectiveness of dog owners securing their pets. Some animal rights activists have called for stricter rules regarding animal ownership, while others believe that dogs like Benny should have the freedom to explore the world around them.
As for Benny’s owner Peggy, she’s planning a grand celebration for her pooch, complete with a new bed, toys, and treats. “I’m so proud of my little guy,” she said. “I might also give him a few extra treats for causing chaos on the expressway. He deserves it.”
Authorities have urged Benny’s owner to keep a better eye on her four-legged escape artist, but it remains to be seen if she will take the advice to heart. We can only hope that Benny doesn’t become a regular commuter on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
