“Kentucky Family Shocked to Find Adorable New Addition in their Christmas Tree!”
A Kentucky family was in for a real treat this holiday season when picking out their Christmas tree. Instead of the usual tinsel and ornaments, the family found a tiny baby owl snuggled up in the branches.
The family was thrilled with their surprise, as nothing says “Merry Christmas” quite like harboring a wild animal in your living room. Now, every time they hang a decoration, they can’t help but wonder which one is the owl’s favorite.
But it wasn’t just the family who was excited by this unexpected visitor. Local animal enthusiasts have been flocking to the family’s home to get a glimpse of the cute little bird and to help them think of a name for their new family member.
Some suggested names include “Hootie,” “Wisey,” and “Owen” (because, you know, it’s an owl). The family, however, is leaning towards a more festive name and has decided to name the bird “Tinsel.”
Despite the excitement, there are many concerns about the welfare of the owl. Animal experts have been quick to remind the family that owls are not pets and require specific care and attention to thrive.
Experts suggest releasing the owl back into the wild where it can resume its natural life. But, really, who has time for that? The family has more important things to do, like feeding it turkey and making sure it has plenty of photo ops for their Instagram.
The family has assured everyone that they will take good care of Tinsel and that the owl will be treated like a member of the family. They have even gone so far as to buy Tinsel his own stocking and festive sweater.
In the meantime, Tinsel is happily perching in the family’s Christmas tree, snacking on candy canes, and waiting for Santa Claus to bring him some more presents.
While it might seem cute and amusing to have a wild animal join in your Christmas festivities, it is important to remember that wild animals should not be kept as pets. Maybe next year the Kentucky family will opt for a different surprise in their Christmas tree- like a less-threatening decoration perhaps?
