Ready, Set, Broke! Father and son duo have officially broken the world record for the number of loops in a Hot Wheels track. 20 loops to be exact. Whoop-de-doo.

The dynamic duo, who apparently have nothing better to do with their time, spent hours upon hours constructing this death-defying track that reaches heights of up to 40 feet! Because what better way to spend your time than risking your life for the sake of a plastic toy car.

The track, which stretches across the entirety of their backyard, has been dubbed the “Loop-de-Loop Extravaganza”. How creative. The father and son team were not only trying to break the previous record for the most loops, but also the previous record for the most unnecessary use of time and resources. Mission accomplished.

The Hot Wheels car, which miraculously survived the twists, turns, and potential crash landings, is said to be enjoying a well-deserved rest on a shelf somewhere. Or maybe it’s just trying to escape from its reckless owners. Who knows.

To commemorate the occasion, the father and son team held a celebratory barbecue where they invited friends and family to witness their accomplishment. Because nothing says “I broke a world record” like having a cookout.

The father, still beaming with pride from his new title as a world record holder, stated, “We just had to do something to keep busy during quarantine.” Well, I guess there are worse ways to spend your time than risking your life and breaking a world record. Surely there must be, right?

The son, who is reportedly 9-years-old, added, “My friends are going to be so jealous.” Yes, because what every child dreams of is having a father who is crazy enough to build a Hot Wheels track with 20 loops.

It’s unclear if the father and son team have any other crazy records they want to break in the future, but we can only hope they find a more productive and less dangerous hobby.

In the meantime, maybe they can show off their track to all the cool kids in the neighborhood and try to impress them with their new title as world record holders. Because that’s what really matters in life, right? Impressions and world records.

Well, congratulations to the father and son team. They’ve officially broken the record for the most loops in a Hot Wheels track. I can’t wait to see what other pointless records they can break in the future.
