BOISE, IDAHO – In a world of chaos and confusion, it’s always a breath of fresh air to find someone who knows how to channel their inner child. Meet Tom, a 37-year-old man from Idaho who has just launched his very own stomp rocket into a target 104 feet away. If that’s not impressive, I don’t know what is.
Tom, who according to his coworkers, is usually too busy trying to impress his boss, decided to take a break from all that and brought out his stomp rocket to prove to himself (and the world) that he is more than just an office robot. And boy did he prove it.
The stomp rocket, which is a toy designed for children, consists of a launch pad, a foam rocket, and a foot pump. The user has to stomp on the foot pump, which forces air into the rocket, launching it into the air. This simple mechanism may have been designed for children but Tom proved that age is just a number when it comes to having fun.
When asked what inspired him to do this, Tom said, “I was tired of feeling like I was always competing with my colleagues, trying to outdo each other. But then I saw my nephew playing with this really cool stomp rocket and I thought, why not?”
Tom spent a week designing the perfect target and spent another week in his backyard practicing his technique. His hard work paid off when he successfully launched the stomp rocket into the target 104 feet away. His wife, who was watching from the sidelines, reportedly cheered louder than she did at their wedding.
Tom’s achievement has inspired many to let go of their competitive nature and embrace their inner child. The local toy store has seen an increasing demand for stomp rockets, and they have even started selling “professional” stomp rocket sets for adults.
Tom’s boss, who was initially skeptical of his employee’s stomp rocket, has reportedly invited him to present his project at the next company meeting. Tom’s coworkers, who were previously envious of his success at work, are now envious of his awesome stomp rocket skills.
Tom’s achievement has not gone unnoticed on social media either. His video has gone viral, with millions of people around the world applauding his commitment to having fun. Some have even called him a hero, although Tom has reportedly told his fans to not take it too seriously.
“It’s just a stomp rocket,” he said. “It’s not like I cured cancer or anything. But if launching a toy rocket into a target can make people smile, then I’m happy to be that person.”
We couldn’t agree more, Tom. Keep on launching those rockets and inspiring us all to have a little more fun in our lives.
