Police Capt. Takes Call About Cow-Occupied Vehicle

Norfolk, NE – In what could only be described as a completely normal occurrence, Norfolk Police Captain, Joe Brehm, received a phone call about a vehicle on the road with a live cow in it.

At first, Capt. Brehm thought it was just a prank call from a group of rowdy teenagers trying to get a rise out of law enforcement. However, when he arrived at the scene, he quickly realized this was no joke.

“There was, in fact, a cow in the backseat of this vehicle,” said Brehm. “It was just chilling back there, like it was a completely normal thing to be doing on a Tuesday afternoon.”

The driver of the vehicle, whose identity has not yet been released, claimed the cow was his pet and that he was just taking it for a ride to grab some McDonald’s. When asked why he couldn’t have left the cow in a field like a normal person, the man simply shrugged and said, “Well, I wanted to get some nuggets and I didn’t want to leave him alone.”

The cow, who goes by the name “Moo-solini,” seemed unphased by the situation. When asked for a statement, the bovine simply responded with a nonchalant “Moo.”

While some might find the situation humorous, others are not laughing. Animal rights activists are calling for the driver to be charged with animal cruelty, citing the obvious danger that transporting a full-grown cow in the backseat of a vehicle presents.

“How would you like to be crammed into the backseat of a car with no leg room and no way to move or stretch out?” said animal rights activist, Jane Smith. “It’s inhumane and it’s just not right.”

Despite the calls for justice, Capt. Brehm says that no criminal charges will be filed at this time. Instead, he suggests that the driver invest in a trailer or some other suitable means of transporting his pet in the future.

As for Moo-solini, the cow is said to be in good health and spirits, and will likely just go back to grazing in a nearby pasture, unaware of the media attention he has garnered.

In conclusion, it seems that the moral of this story is that anything can happen in Norfolk, NE. You might just be driving down the road on a Tuesday afternoon and suddenly find yourself sharing the backseat with a cow named Moo-solini. It’s all just par for the course in this neck of the woods.
