Orchard Owner Thinks He Has a World Record Peach – Cue the Fanfare!

In the tiny town of Paonia, Colorado, a man by the name of Mike Goodwin has made an earth-shattering discovery. He believes he has grown a peach that could be the envy of the world – or at least the fruit growing world.

This peach of all peaches, weighing in at an impressive 2.03 pounds, is a sight to see and could very well become the new Guinness World Record holder in the peach category. We’re not sure who’s keeping tabs on these kinds of things, but we’ll take Goodwin’s word for it.

The tree, apparently, was initially planted by Goodwin’s late father in 1950. Now some seventy years later, he thinks he may have just hit the jackpot with this juicy behemoth.

In a recent interview, Goodwin exclaimed, “It’s almost as big as a cantaloupe, and I could hardly hold it with one hand. It was just magnificent.”

Goodwin is the proud owner of Goodwin Creek Farm and has been growing peaches for as long as his farm has been in operation. He even goes so far as to say that his farm is the only one in the state that grows “hard” peaches. So, when he realized what he had on his hands, he was understandably overjoyed.

But wait folks, there’s more!

Not only is this peach sizable, but it’s also delicious! According to Goodwin, the fruit is incredibly tasty, so much so that he has already had to fend off several offers from wealthy buyers.

Why, with a simple “high five” transaction, you too can eat a piece of history!

Despite the enthusiasm, several skeptics online have begun to question whether this so-called marvel is genuinely monstrous or if it’s just a simple case of camera trickery. But let’s not worry about them – we have bigger (or should we say peachier) concerns at hand.

So, what will happen next for Goodwin and his gargantuan peach? Will he succeed in his world record-breaking quest, or will he be left behind in the fruity dust? Only time – and the Guinness World Record judges – will tell.

We’re not sure if we’ll see this peach at the county fair next year or perhaps on a platter in the White House, but one thing’s for sure: Goodwin has given us something to aspire to. Perhaps we too should be investing in our peach-growing skills because let’s face it, there’s nothing like breaking a world record to give our egos a little boost.

Goodwin, thank you for giving us something to talk about because quite honestly, we were getting a little bored with the usual news cycle. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we suddenly have a massive craving for some peach cobbler.
