Residents of Florida are surely thrilled that their local alligator population is thriving so well that the animals are now being forced to compete for real estate. One such unlucky reptile was caught on video struggling to fit through a fence in a desperate attempt to find a new home in the Sunshine State.

The footage was captured by a brave Florida man who was apparently unafraid to get up close and personal with the 6-foot alligator. While some might have recoiled at the sight of the toothy creature, this intrepid individual saw an opportunity to record some footage that would make any animal lover squeal with delight.

And boy did he deliver. The video shows the alligator attempting to get through the fence with all the grace of a bull in a china shop. It seems that the poor creature might be a bit too big for its current digs, prompting it to go on the hunt for greener (or should we say swampier) pastures.

But this isn’t just a story about one alligator’s struggle for a better life. Oh no, it goes even deeper. After watching the video, our brave videographer decided to investigate further. That’s when he made the astonishing discovery of the alligator’s nest.

Yes, you read that correctly. The alligator’s nest. Apparently, this gargantuan reptile is not content with just taking up precious space in someone’s backyard. It also needs to reproduce and spread its genes across the state.

Now, we’re not sure about you, but the idea of a 6-foot alligator breeding is not exactly our idea of a good time. But apparently, the locals don’t mind. In fact, they seem to be downright thrilled about the discovery.

One man we spoke to said, “I’m just so happy to know that we have alligators breeding in our community. It really adds to the charm of the area.”

We’re not sure about you, but we’re not exactly thrilled at the prospect of having even more alligators running around Florida. Call us crazy, but we think one 6-foot monster is enough for any neighborhood.

But it seems that there will be no stopping the alligator invasion anytime soon. With more and more of the creatures popping up in backyards, it seems that Florida might soon become an alligator paradise.

So let this be a warning to all you Florida residents out there. If you see an alligator struggling to fit through your fence, don’t try to help it. Just step back and let nature take its course. Who knows, maybe you’ll get lucky and discover an alligator nest of your own!
